What Is It?
Kentucky’s new season of the nationally acclaimed “CIO Practicum©” series is now off and running in 2010.

Many executives attended this year’s first event in January in a provocative session focused on managing the often-elusive balance between IT’s budget and demand, and the next upcoming session promises to be just as enjoyable.

This time we will take a look at why it seems the pressure on CIOs today could not be worse. The demand previous that IT leaders to “do more with less” has suddenly changed into “just do more!!” It is a very bad sign indeed when CIOs now seem to be the only C-Suiters being asked by senior management, “Why do you even exist?” Be a part of a very thought-provoking, and perhaps even controversial session, where senior IT leaders will engage in an active discussion concerning where the future of the CIO role is actually leading.

The evening’s master of ceremonies and leader of the discussion will once again be Mr. Thornton A. May, one of today’s most widely known and most highly respected IT futurists and subject authors.

Can you be with us on Wednesday, April 21, 2010, running from 5:00pm to 9:00pm??
For those already planning to attend the “Lexington eHealth Summit”, which is being held earlier that same day, please stay and join us for this dinner afterwards. Again, this easy-to-participate and free-to-you event will be held at:
The University of Kentucky
Hilary J. Boone Center Faculty Club
510 Rose Street
Lexington, KY 40506

The evening will be again hosted by the University of Kentucky’s Gatton School of Business and Economics, in conjunction with the City of Lexington. These unique sessions will provide you with even more opportunities for expanded high-end content and mind-share, improved relationship development, and broadened personal visibility. A detailed agenda can be found HERE.

Can you join us? Please let us know right away. A favor of a reply is requested.
